In the year 2016, 584 trainees graduated from Afghan – Korea Vocational Training Center (AKVTC) to take part in the development efforts of Afghan societies.

 

“Creating job opportunities will cause peace and stability in the country”, said Dr. Nasrin Oryakhil, Minister of Labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD) in the Graduation Event that was held in Afghan – Korea Vocational Training Center (AKVTC). Also H.E. added that MoLSAMD’s long term plan focuses on different economic programs that will provide job opportunities for youths in different sectors.

Dr. Oryakhil said that AKVTC is one of the important institutes of MoLSAMD that offers vocational trainings to great number of youths each year. H.E added that there are 46 Vocational Training Center (VTC) operating under MoLSAMD and that efforts are underway to increase this number in order to increase job opportunities to the youths of the country.

Dr. Oryakhil also stated that MoLSAMD will offer vocational trainings for Drug Addicts, Nomads, Immigrants and IDP’s also. H.E. then congratulated the graduates and asked them to transfer the knowledge gained in AKVTC to their fellows in every situation and wherever they are.

Meer Jalalulldin Hushaam, the Director of the AKVTC, in his speech, said that hundreds of trainees including male and female are trained in AKVTC each year to serve their family and communities. He added that the training programs provided in AKVTC are based on the market demand and we are trying to provide the graduates with job opportunities in the labour market.

AKVTC is established in the year 2005 by the financial support of Republic of Korea with the request of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to operate under MoLSAMD offering vocational training in seven areas including Computer, Tailoring, English, Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, and Automotive. Since then, great number of youths is trained in these areas to join the labour market.
