Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and disabled discusses immigration with general director of International Centre for Migration Policy Development.

 In a brief meeting His Excellency Faizullah Zaki Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and disabled welcomes Michael Spindelegger general director of International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), appreciated from the cooperation of (ICMPD) information of Afghan migrations policy, discussed the opening of first migrant resources center in Kabul, immigrations and repatriations and problems of Afghan refugees in destinations’ countries,  

In this meeting first His Excellency gave details about regularized and labor migrants to foreign countries especially Gulf countries, the situation of Afghan refugees, talked to the private sector for entrepreneurship or job creation and decreasing of the unemployment rate in Afghanistan which he said is our countrymen’s main factor of immigration to the European countries.

We concluded an agreement with the United Arab Emirates government to deploy regularized Afghan labor migrants to their country and our discussions are underway with more countries including Turkey and Saudi Arabia for signing same agreement said Mr.Zaki.  

With the suggestion of international organization of civil Aviation (IOCA), Afghan Government started issuing Afghan Passports for those origin Afghan labors and migrants who worked with foreign borrowed IDs specially Pakistani in destination countries in the past.

We will replace their old passports with new passports. Faizullah Zaki told the Head of ICMPD. 

Immigration is a global Challenge needs global measures and cooperation for tackling this challenge and problem added Mr. Zaki.

Immigration of Afghan people was top issue of Global Media in 2015 and 2016 and we seek cooperation of European Union and ICMPD to address the problems of Afghan refugees there as well as we have bilateral agreements with these countries and our government holds meeting regularly with them in every two months in Kabul and Brussels for addressing the problems of these migrants in the European countries.

Force returnees of Afghan migrants especially from Turkey in another challenge for our Government as statistic shows that force returning of Afghan migrants are several times more than from self-returnees of Afghan migrants, Afghan Government is working hard to create jobs for these repatriations minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and disabled said.  

Nations and international organizations which work to address migration

 Challenges globally should work closely with the Afghan government for job creation and decreasing unemployment rate in Afghanistan, this measure will help economic growth which will avoid future migration of Afghan people.

Michael Spindelegger general director of International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) assured cooperation of this center information and development of migration policy with the Afghan government, vocational training for repatriations and the opening of migration resources center in Kabul for advising from the risk of migrations for those who want to leave their country.

 We will continue to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan said Mr. Spindelegger.

To address and solve migration challenge globally Mr. Michael Spindelegger informed from holding an international migration conference in Vienna Austria this autumn on October 18-19, 2018 as he invited Mr. Faizullah Zaki Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and disabled to attend this conference and to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Afghan government and ICMPD of migration. I will think about it Mr. Zaki replayed.

In conclusion, Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and disabled vowed that his administration will share the latest correspondence of a three-day national labor conference which was held in may and inter-ministry mechanism of the Afghan government for deployment of regular afghan labors of foreign countries with ICMPD in near future.
